We have an immediate need for a per diem / part time PTA in Alameda & Solano Counties. DOE in home healthcare setting Responsibilities Assist physical therapists in implementing individualized care plans for patients. Provide hands-on therapy techniques, including but not limited to trigger point therapy and exercises tailored for various conditions. Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising physical therapist. Support patients during rehabilitation sessions, ensuring safety and proper technique. Participate in discharge planning, helping to prepare patients for their transition from therapy. Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress notes. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care, including working with pediatrics, geriatrics, orthopedics, and acute care patients. Ensure a clean and organized treatment environment. Experience Previous experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant in home health setting is preferred but not required. 2+ in acute setting if no HH experience. Knowledge of physical therapy principles, including physiology and rehabilitation techniques. Familiarity with care plans specific to various patient populations such as inpatient, outpatient, pediatrics, geriatrics, and orthopedic cases is advantageous. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Ability to demonstrate empathy and patience while working with diverse patient needs. - Valid state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant
