Overview We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant to join a supportive rehabilitation team in Hayward, California . In this role, you'll work closely with the supervising Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary care team to help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and independence. Why Join This Team? $45-$50/hour 35 hours per week Monday-Friday schedule No weekend rotation Work in a 99-bed facility Supportive and collaborative rehabilitation environment Opportunity to work closely with an experienced clinical team Meaningful patient interaction and hands-on care Excellent opportunity for both new graduates and experienced clinicians Responsibilities As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will: Implement treatment programs developed by the supervising Physical Therapist Provide therapeutic exercises and functional activities based on individual patient goals Assist patients with mobility, gait, balance, strength, endurance, and functional training Monitor patient responses to treatment and communicate changes to the supervising PT Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility, safety, and continued progress Document treatments and patient progress accurately and efficiently Collaborate with therapists, nursing staff, caregivers, and other members of the healthcare team Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining professional standards Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in California Strong communication and interpersonal skills Dependable, compassionate, and patient-focused Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team New graduates and experienced PTAs are encouraged to apply Why Hayward?
