Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing personalized treatment plans that incorporate manual therapy, trigger point therapy, and other physiotherapy techniques. Conduct clinical assessments and document patient progress accurately according to clinical documentation standards. Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions, ensuring proper use and maintenance. Collaborate with healthcare professionals such as physicians, occupational therapists, and nurses to optimize patient care strategies. Maintain detailed electronic health records (EHR) management and ensure all medical documentation complies with regulatory standards. Educate patients and caregivers on care plans, exercises, and home programs to promote recovery and independence. Support discharge planning by assessing patient needs for continued therapy or community resources across various settings including geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, and acute care. Qualifications Valid licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant in accordance with state regulations. Proven experience in outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, inpatient units, or home health environments. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and clinical assessment documentation standards. Skilled in physical therapy treatment implementation including manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy. Familiarity with medical equipment operation relevant to physical therapy practices. Excellent communication skills for effective caregiver and client interaction across diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatrics. Experience with electronic health records (EHR) management ensuring accurate medical documentation. Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans.
