Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Chiropractic Assistant/Receptionist to join our friendly team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience while supporting clinical operations. Your proactive approach will help maintain efficient clinic workflows and uphold our commitment to exceptional patient care. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, managing check-in and check-out processes with professionalism Schedule appointments using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth Verify patient insurance coverage and assist with medical billing and collection processes, including Medicare and health insurance claims Maintain accurate medical records, review documentation for completeness, and ensure compliance with HIPAA confidentiality policies Answer phone calls promptly, providing excellent customer service and appointment coordination Assist with medical administrative support tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing electronic health records (EHR systems) Support clinical staff with basic front desk duties like patient intake, updating medical histories, and preparing treatment plans Skills Proven experience in a medical office environment or chiropractic clinic setting Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks or similar platforms Familiarity with medical coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), billing procedures, and health insurance processes Excellent communication skills with phone etiquette and bilingual abilities preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel for documentation purposes Ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion in accordance with HIPAA regulations Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and filing tasks Prior experience in dental or chiropractic clinics is a plus; familiarity with clinical confidentiality policies is essential Join us at Back To Wellness where your dedication will contribute to transforming lives through holistic health care!
