If yes, here's how you will contribute to the team: As the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) , you will assist in the delivery of physical therapy services to patients in accordance with established treatment plans and goals. Your role will focus on promoting mobility, strength, and overall functional independence for patients, while ensuring they receive the highest level of personalized care.
Your key responsibilities include:
Direct Patient Care:
Assisting in the implementation of physical therapy treatment plans developed by the physical therapist. Conducting therapy sessions with patients to improve their physical function and mobility. Monitoring patient progress and documenting changes in their condition.
Documentation:
Log clinical notes accurately and promptly using our EMR - KanTime.
Education and Training:
Educating patients and their families about exercises, activities, and techniques to improve function. Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to assess patient needs and provide holistic care. Maintaining accurate patient records in accordance with state and federal regulations. Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements governing physical therapy services and home health policies.
Must Have:
1-3 years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Associate's degree from an accredited PTA program. Current and unencumbered Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state. Knowledge of physical therapy principles, practices, and techniques. Familiarity with Home Health or Home Care environments and regulations. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. Nice to
Have:
Experience working with elderly or disabled patients. Familiarity with rehabilitation equipment and modalities. Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid therapy regulations.
