Job Description

Physical Therapy Assistant Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at The Californian in Pasadena, California. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work closely with a licensed Physical Therapist to design and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with diverse physical disabilities and injuries. Responsibilities:
Assist Licensed Physical Therapist:
Work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to develop and implement treatment plans for patients with a range of physical conditions, including orthopedic, neurological, and cardiovascular disorders.
Conduct Patient Assessments:
Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patients' physical abilities, including range of motion, strength, and functional capacity.
Administer Therapeutic Interventions:
Implement a variety of therapeutic interventions, including exercises, stretches, and modalities, to help patients achieve treatment goals.
Maintain Accurate Records:
Accurately document patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress in electronic medical records. Collaborate with
Interdisciplinary Team:
Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and physicians, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements:
Education:
Associate's degree or higher in Physical Therapy Assistant Studies.
Experience:
0 years of experience required, but relevant internship or clinical experience preferred.
Certifications:
Current certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in the state of California.
