Postureworks | Los Angeles, CA Part-Time or Full-Time Are you a PTA who wants to become exceptionally skilled at understanding and changing human movement? Postureworks is seeking an outstanding California-licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our growing practice. This is not a traditional high-volume outpatient PTA position. We are looking for someone who is fascinated by biomechanics, neuromuscular rehabilitation and movement—and who wants the mentorship and training to develop into a highly skilled rehabilitation practitioner. At Postureworks, patients undergo a comprehensive physical therapy evaluation that may include advanced scanning and movement analysis. The physical therapist interprets the findings, establishes the plan of care, determines treatment priorities, and designs an individualized rehabilitation program. Your role is to become exceptional at helping us implement that strategy. You'll receive hands-on training in the Postureworks approach, including therapeutic exercise, movement retraining, Redcord/Neurac suspension-based rehabilitation and appropriate use of NEUBIE neuromuscular electrical stimulation within the physical therapist's established plan of care. This Position Is Different We're not looking for a PTA to simply take patients through an exercise list. We want to develop someone who understands the purpose behind the treatment. You'll learn to recognize movement strategies and compensations, understand the objectives established by the treating PT, select and progress appropriate interventions within the plan of care, and continually observe how the patient responds.

Our fundamental process is:

Assess → Treat → Observe → Retest → Progress The supervising physical therapist establishes the clinical strategy. Your job is to become exceptionally good at executing it. Advanced Training Depending on experience and competency, your training may include: Redcord / Neurac Suspension Therapy Learn to use suspension and controlled loading/unloading to facilitate neuromuscular rehabilitation, therapeutic exercise, stabilization and progressive movement.

Training may include:

Redcord equipment setup and safety Suspension-based therapeutic exercise Neuromuscular activation strategies Unloading and progressive loading Movement quality and compensation Exercise progression and regression Functional integration Test/retest methodology NEUBIE Neuromuscular Re-Education You'll also have the opportunity to develop competency using NEUBIE technology as an adjunct to therapeutic exercise and neuromuscular re-education when incorporated into the PT-established treatment plan.

Training may include:

Device safety and clinical protocols Electrode and glove applications Neuromuscular re-education Combining stimulation with active movement Therapeutic exercise with electrical stimulation Patient monitoring and communication Documentation Progression and stop criteria The Postureworks Movement Approach Most importantly, you'll learn how we look at the body.

What You'll Do As a Postureworks PTA, you'll work closely with the supervising physical therapist to: Deliver individualized physical therapy treatment under an established plan of care Implement therapeutic exercise and neuromuscular re-education programs Provide Redcord/Neurac-based treatment after appropriate training Incorporate appropriate electrical stimulation and NEUBIE-based interventions within the PT-established treatment program Guide patients through active movement while using electrodes and other prescribed modalities Progress or regress appropriate interventions within established parameters Observe subtle changes in movement and patient response Perform appropriate test/retest procedures established by the PT Communicate meaningful findings and changes back to the supervising physical therapist Help patients translate treatment changes into functional movement Participate in case discussions and ongoing clinical education Deliver an exceptional one-on-one patient experience Who We're Looking For You must: Hold a current California Physical Therapist Assistant license Be professional, reliable and highly attentive to patient safety Communicate exceptionally well with patients and colleagues Beyond those requirements, we're looking for something harder to find. You Don't Need to Know Our System Already We don't expect you to arrive knowing Redcord, NEUBIE or the Postureworks approach. We will train the right person.
