We foster a collaborative atmosphere where staff and residents thrive together. We are currently seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on residents' lives in a rewarding and supportive setting.
Position Summary:
As a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide therapy services that help residents improve their mobility, strength, and overall function. You will assist with implementing treatment plans and contribute to the overall success of residents' rehabilitation goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement therapy treatment plans designed by the supervising Physical Therapist. Guide residents through exercises and activities to improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence. Monitor residents' progress during therapy sessions and report updates to the supervising Physical Therapist. Educate residents and their families on exercises and techniques to continue therapy goals outside of sessions. Accurately document therapy sessions, residents' progress, and outcomes in compliance with facility and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure a holistic approach to resident care. Provide therapy services on an as-needed PRN basis to support residents' care plans.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Current and valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Colorado. Previous experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting is preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach to care. Flexibility to work PRN as needed. Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems for documentation.
