POTENTIAL TO GROW INTO A 4-DAY / 40-HOUR POSITION
For the right person, there is potential for this position to grow into approximately 40 hours over four workdays

LOOKING FOR A STABLE, LONG-TERM POSITION WITH A GREAT WORK SCHEDULE?
Rubino Back & Neck Care Center is an established chiropractic practice in West Haven seeking an exceptional person to become an important long-term member of our office. We are initially offering a consistent 30-hour workweek over three full days
- Monday, Wednesday and Thursday
- providing four days off each week.
This is much more than a receptionist position. You will work directly with the doctor and gradually become responsible for helping manage patient flow, front-desk operations, scheduling, patient payments, chiropractic therapies, data entry, insurance billing and general office administration. We are looking for someone who is dependable, professional, warm with patients, highly organized, comfortable taking responsibility and genuinely interested in becoming a long-term member of a small healthcare practice.

7:15 AM-6:15 PM
Wednesday:
7:15 AM-6:15 PM
Thursday:
7:15 AM-6:15 PM
- One-hour lunch break each day
- Approximately 30 working hours per week Applicants must be reliably available for the complete Monday, Wednesday and Thursday schedule.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
This is an active position combining patient service, chiropractic assisting, front-desk responsibilities, scheduling, payments, billing and office administration.
- Greet and check in patients and provide friendly, professional and attentive service.
- Answer telephone calls and schedule/reschedule appointments.
- Maintain an efficiently organized appointment schedule.
- Collect copays and patient balances and process credit-card payments.
- Help coordinate patient flow through the office.
- Prepare treatment areas and assist with doctor-ordered therapies after appropriate training.
- Prepare and turn over treatment tables.
- Enter daily patient charges and payments.
- Assist with electronic insurance billing and routine claim follow-up.
- Organize medical-record and attorney requests.

- Monitor and order office supplies.
- Keep reception and treatment areas clean, organized and professional.
5-STAR
PATIENT SERVICE COMES FIRST
Our goal is for every patient to receive exceptional, personal service. When patients are physically present in the office, patient care and face-to-face service come first. During quieter periods between patient sessions, you will transition to productive administrative responsibilities such as billing, data entry, insurance claims, records, scheduling and office organization. We are looking for someone who eventually learns to recognize what needs to be done and takes appropriate initiative rather than requiring constant supervision.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Extremely dependable and punctual.
- Warm, friendly and professional with patients.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Comfortable working independently.
- Able to stay calm and professional when the office becomes busy.
- Comfortable learning new responsibilities.
- Able to accept instruction and constructive feedback professionally.
- Comfortable using computers, telephones and basic office technology.
- Comfortable handling patient payments.
- Able to move between patient-service and administrative responsibilities.
- Someone who notices what needs to be done and takes initiative.
- Someone who takes pride in completing work accurately.
- Interested in a stable, long-term position rather than temporary employment.
Previous experience in a chiropractic, medical, dental, physical therapy or other healthcare office is helpful. Experience with medical or chiropractic insurance billing is especially valuable. However, we are willing to train an exceptional person who has the right attitude, intelligence, reliability, professionalism and work ethic.
TRAINING
You will NOT be expected to learn everything immediately. Training will be provided gradually. You will initially learn our patients, front-desk procedures, telephone procedures, scheduling and basic office flow. As you become comfortable and demonstrate proficiency, you will progressively learn patient therapies, patient routing, data entry, billing, insurance claims and additional administrative responsibilities. Our objective is not simply to hire someone to answer the telephone. Our goal is to develop the right person into a trusted, highly capable and important long-term member of the practice.
WHY THIS POSITION MAY BE DIFFERENT
Instead of working a traditional five-day workweek, this position initially provides a consistent three-day workweek with four days off. For someone who prefers longer workdays and fewer commuting days, the starting schedule provides substantial weekly hours while preserving four days each week for family, personal responsibilities, education or other interests. For someone ultimately interested in additional hours, there is potential for the position to develop into a four-day / approximately 40-hour Monday-Thursday schedule while continuing to have Fridays off.
COMPENSATION
$20
- 24 per hour, depending upon experience and qualifications, plus performance bonus opportunities.
This position includes the opportunity to earn additional performance-based bonuses for exceptional job performance, reliability, productivity, patient service, and contribution to the success of the practice. Details regarding the performance bonus program will be discussed during the interview process. Experience with medical/chiropractic billing, electronic insurance claims, accounts receivable, or healthcare-office administration is especially desirable and may qualify the candidate for the higher end of the compensation range.
HOW TO APPLY
Please apply through Indeed and answer the three screening questions provided with the application. Alternatively, you may apply directly by email by sending your résumé and answers to the three questions to DocRubino1@gmail.com 1. Why does a three-day, approximately 30-hour workweek appeal to you, and would you potentially be interested in growing into a four-day / approximately 40-hour position in the future? 2. Please describe any previous healthcare, chiropractic, medical-office, patient-service, administrative or insurance-billing experience you have. 3. Are you reliably available every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from approximately 7:15 AM-6:15 PM, with a one-hour lunch break? We are specifically looking for someone interested in becoming a stable, dependable and long-term member of our practice. Please apply only if the regular Monday, Wednesday and Thursday schedule works reliably for your life. This role offers an energetic environment where your skills directly contribute to patient care excellence. We value dedicated professionals who are detail-oriented, proactive problem solvers with a passion for healthcare support. Join us to be part of a team that makes a difference every day!
