Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in physiotherapy practices, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care across diverse settings. As a vital member of the rehabilitation team, you will assist licensed physical therapists in implementing treatment plans, supporting patient recovery, and promoting overall wellness. This role offers an opportunity to work in dynamic environments such as outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, inpatient units, and home health settings. Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs. Implement physical therapy treatments including manual therapy techniques, trigger point therapy, and therapeutic exercises to improve mobility and reduce pain. Document clinical assessments, treatment progress, and discharge planning accurately following clinical documentation standards. Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions to enhance patient outcomes. Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals such as physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists to coordinate comprehensive care. Communicate effectively with patients and caregivers to explain treatment procedures, address concerns, and foster engagement in the rehabilitation process. Maintain meticulous medical documentation within electronic health records (EHR) systems in compliance with regulatory standards. Support discharge planning by providing relevant information on ongoing care needs and therapy exercises for continued recovery outside the clinical setting. Skills Proficiency in physiotherapy treatment implementation including manual therapy and trigger point therapy techniques. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy. Experience with clinical assessment documentation and adherence to medical documentation standards. Familiarity with medical equipment operation used in physical therapy sessions. Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals across various disciplines for optimal patient outcomes. Excellent communication skills tailored for engaging patients of all ages and backgrounds, including inpatient and outpatient populations. Prior experience working within skilled nursing facilities, inpatient units, or home health environments is highly desirable. Pay:
$28.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
