Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality physical therapy services to diverse patient populations. In this energetic and rewarding role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to implement treatment plans, assist patients in their recovery journeys, and promote optimal mobility and function. Your expertise will help improve patients' quality of life across inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing, home health, and pediatric settings. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference while advancing your clinical skills in a supportive environment. Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing personalized care plans for patients across various settings such as inpatient units, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home health environments. Perform therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, trigger point therapy, and other physiotherapy techniques to reduce pain and improve mobility. Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during treatment sessions, ensuring proper use according to clinical standards. Document all clinical assessments, treatment procedures, patient responses, and progress accurately following medical documentation standards and electronic health records (EHR) management protocols. Collaborate with healthcare professionals including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and caregivers to coordinate comprehensive patient care and discharge planning. Conduct thorough clinical assessments and maintain detailed documentation of patient progress in compliance with healthcare regulations. Communicate clearly with clients and caregivers about treatment goals, progress updates, and home exercise programs to foster engagement and understanding. Experience Prior experience working in inpatient care, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or home health settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of physiology, anatomy, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practice. Skilled in using manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and other physiotherapy modalities. Familiarity with clinical assessment documentation standards and medical documentation practices is essential. Experience operating medical equipment used in physical therapy treatments and managing electronic health records (EHR) systems effectively. Strong communication skills for interacting with patients of all ages—including pediatrics—and collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Inpatient experience combined with skilled nursing facility or outpatient clinic exposure will enhance your ability to deliver comprehensive care tailored to individual needs. Embark on a fulfilling career path where your skills directly impact patients' recovery journeys! We are dedicated to supporting your professional growth through ongoing training opportunities while fostering a vibrant team environment committed to excellence in patient care.
