Chiropractic Therapy Technician
•Spinal Decompression Coastline Spine & Health Center Job Summary Coastline Spine & Health Center is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and energetic Chiropractic Therapy Technician to join our patient care team. The primary responsibility of this position is assisting patients with spinal decompression therapy under the direction and established protocols of our chiropractic physicians. The ideal candidate is someone who genuinely enjoys working with people, is attentive to detail, communicates well, and can create a comfortable and positive experience for patients. This position requires the ability to stay organized and efficient while managing multiple patients throughout a busy clinical schedule. Previous chiropractic or healthcare experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate. We are willing to train someone who is dependable, eager to learn, and a great fit for our team. Primary Responsibilities Greet and prepare patients for spinal decompression therapy. Assist patients with safely getting on and off the decompression table. Properly position patients and apply decompression harnesses according to established office protocols. Set up decompression equipment according to the treatment parameters and protocols established by the treating chiropractor, within the employee's permitted role and training. Ensure patients are comfortable and properly positioned before beginning therapy. Monitor patients throughout their decompression sessions and promptly communicate any discomfort, concerns, or changes to the treating chiropractor. Assist patients at the completion of therapy and safely remove decompression equipment and harnesses. Clean, sanitize, and reset decompression tables and equipment between patients. Document completion of therapy accurately within the patient's record according to office procedures. Maintain an organized, clean, and professional therapy area. Help maintain efficient patient flow throughout the office. Communicate effectively with doctors, chiropractic assistants, front-desk staff, and other members of the clinical team. Follow all established office procedures, patient safety protocols, and HIPAA requirements. Maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Assist with other appropriate patient-care and clinical support duties as assigned and within the employee's training and permitted scope. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in a chiropractic, physical therapy, medical, rehabilitation, fitness, or other patient-care environment is preferred but not required. Experience with spinal decompression therapy is a plus; training can be provided. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Comfortable working directly and hands-on with patients. Ability to follow detailed doctor-directed treatment protocols consistently. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and maintain efficiency in a fast-paced clinical environment. Dependable, punctual, professional, and team-oriented. Compassionate and patient when working with individuals experiencing pain or limited mobility. Comfortable learning new equipment, technology, and office software. Ability to recognize when a patient concern should immediately be brought to the attention of the treating chiropractor. Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to: Stand and walk for extended periods. Bend, squat, reach, and perform repetitive movements. Assist patients with positioning and getting on and off therapy equipment when appropriate. Apply and remove decompression harnesses and related equipment. Perform the physical functions necessary to prepare, clean, and operate therapy equipment safely. The Person We're Looking For Technical skills can be taught.
