Job Description

Summary As a Physical Therapist with Access Health Care Physicians, you will perform and document an initial exam on every incoming patient in order to identify problems and determine plan of care and implement different interventions. You will also identify and document goals as well as anticipated progress and plans for reevaluation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Testing and measuring patients' strength, function, sensory perception, functional capacity and respiratory and circulatory efficiency Planning, preparing and carrying out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve or restore highest function performance Instructing patients and families in home exercise program and safety precautions to be continued at home Attending staff meetings and facility meetings Participating in continuing education classes Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education, Certification and Licenses:
Possessing a Physical Therapy degree and licensure in the state of Florida Being certified in
CPR Physical Demands:
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Being physically able to assist individuals
Skills:
Having good computer literacy Possessing strong listening, speaking, critical thinking and reading comprehension skills Being socially perceptive Strong time-management skills
Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
