Overview We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a excellent communication skills, and a passion for pediatrics. As a PTA, you will implement physical therapy treatments, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and support patient progress through personalized care plans. This role offers an engaging opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children. Responsibilities Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's needs. Perform therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques. Document clinical assessments, treatment progress, and discharge planning accurately following clinical documentation standards. Collaborate with healthcare professionals including physicians, occupational therapists, and caregivers to optimize patient outcomes. Communicate clearly with clients and their families regarding treatment procedures and progress updates. Maintain electronic health records (EHR) management with thorough documentation of all patient interactions and care plans. Experience Experience working with pediatric populations in settings such as clinics, geriatrics, or home health is highly desirable. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, orthopedics, and medical terminology relevant to pediatric care is essential. Familiarity with physical therapy treatment implementation including manual therapy techniques like trigger point therapy and therapeutic exercises. Strong communication skills for effective caregiver engagement and client interaction. Experience with discharge planning processes in acute care or outpatient environments is advantageous.
