Job Description

Make a meaningful impact by supporting students as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in a dynamic school environment. This full-time, onsite contract position runs through May 20, 2027 and provides the opportunity to collaborate with educators and therapists to help students across all grade levels thrive. You'll utilize your clinical expertise to assist with implementing therapy programs, contribute to student progress, and ensure that each child receives quality, individualized care.
Key Qualifications:
Valid PTA license issued by the state of Illinois (IL) Previous experience working in school-based settings preferred Ability to effectively adapt to serving all grade levels, from early childhood to high school Strong communication skills for interaction with students, teachers, and families Any district- or state-specific certifications or clearances as required
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed PT, in accordance with students' IEPs and school policies Support students' mobility, motor skills, strength, and functional independence throughout the school day Monitor and document progress, providing status updates to supervising therapists and educational teams Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate closely with school staff to promote the best outcomes for each student Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal documentation and procedural guidelines Enjoy the advantages of a rewarding position, including competitive weekly compensation, comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, plus access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
