NorthShore Physical Therapy is an established outpatient physical therapy practice in Skokie, Illinois. We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team on a part-time or PRN basis. Responsibilities Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist in accordance with Illinois law. Implement established treatment plans for patients with orthopedic, musculoskeletal, and functional limitations. Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, functional training, mobility, and rehabilitation activities. Monitor patient responses to treatment and communicate progress or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist. Complete accurate and timely treatment documentation. Educate patients on prescribed home exercise programs. Maintain a safe, organized, and professional treatment environment. Collaborate with physical therapists and other healthcare team members. Qualifications Current Illinois Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license, or eligibility for licensure before starting work. Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred but not required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Dependable, professional, and patient-focused. New graduates are welcome to apply.
