Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Physical Therapist or Physical Therapy Assistant near Wheeling, IL. Play an essential role as you provide direct services during a full-time maternity leave coverage from August through October. This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact within a supportive educational setting, working five days per week alongside dedicated staff.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active IL Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license required School-based experience preferred but not mandatory Experience working with pediatric populations or within K-12 schools is beneficial Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, educators, and families Flexibility and adaptability to address the diverse needs of students
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver physical therapy services as outlined in students' individualized education plans (IEPs) Conduct assessments to determine students' needs and progress Develop and implement therapeutic interventions to support each student's goals Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of services provided Collaborate with educators, families, and other therapists to foster student success and independence Assist with transition planning and provide insights during IEP meetings as needed
