Job Description

Overview Treats patients of all ages who suffered loss of upper, lower extremities function, balance, endurance, coordination or present with pain, or wounds/burns due to illnesses, trauma or surgery. This position follows the treatment plan designed by the physical therapist, reports any changes or findings directly to the physical therapist, and works with the patient and family members to achieve the highest possible level of independence. Responsibilities
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(•Essential Functions) Documents assessments and interventions accurately and timely. Educates patients and families. Follows the treatment plan designed by the Physical Therapist. Participates in multi-disciplinary meetings and case reviews. Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledgable in the principles of growth over life span. Demonstrates proficiency in oral and written communication. Demonstrates good interpersonal skills. Demonstrates flexibility to meet unanticipated demands and priorities. Possess skills to work with patients of all ages from infants to geriatric. Ability to work safely at all times adhering to the safety policies and procedures, as well as the national patient safety goals. Ability to perform all duties in a corteous and kind manner, placing the patients and families first. Ability to assist other members of the healthcare team in order to achieve desired outcomes.
EDUCATION
Graduation from a recognized college or university as a Physical Therapy Assistant. High School Diploma/GED Equivalent Required 1 Healthcare/Medical - Physical Therapy Required Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant Certified Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation
STANDARDS OF BEHAVIOR

Demonstrates knowledge of procedures for protecting and maintaining security, confidentiality and integrity of employee, patient, family, organizational and other medical information.
