Category Schools - PTA Job Type Contract Step into an impactful role supporting students as a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in a dynamic school environment for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract opportunity provides the chance to make a meaningful difference by helping students achieve their fullest potential in a collaborative educational setting.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Active Massachusetts PTA license required Prior experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with educators, therapists, students, and families Strong organizational abilities for managing documentation and scheduling Flexibility and adaptability in meeting the evolving needs of students
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver physical therapy interventions as directed by supervising PT, focusing on student-specific goals Work with students in both individual and small group settings to address gross motor and functional mobility needs Maintain clear documentation of student progress and therapy sessions in accordance with school requirements Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support individualized education plans (IEPs) Communicate regularly with educators and families regarding student progress and recommendations Adapt therapy activities and interventions to support inclusion within classroom settings
