Responsibilities Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercises. Conduct clinical assessments and document findings accurately in accordance with clinical documentation standards and medical terminology. Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions, ensuring proper usage and maintenance. Collaborate seamlessly with healthcare professionals such as physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists to coordinate care plans and discharge strategies. Maintain meticulous electronic health records (EHR) management, ensuring all medical documentation is complete, timely, and compliant with regulatory standards. Support patient care activities across inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, home health visits, or geriatric care environments. Communicate clearly with clients and caregivers to explain treatment procedures, progress, and discharge instructions while fostering a compassionate environment. Experience Proven experience working as a PTA in inpatient settings such as skilled nursing facilities or acute care environments. Skilled nursing facility experience is highly preferred, with familiarity in geriatrics and pediatrics being advantageous. Demonstrated knowledge of physiology, anatomy, orthopedics, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practices. Hands-on experience with outpatient or clinic-based physiotherapy treatments including trigger point therapy and manual therapy techniques. Ability to operate medical equipment used in physical therapy treatments safely and efficiently. Prior involvement in discharge planning processes and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient transitions. Strong communication skills for effective client engagement and caregiver interaction, ensuring clarity in treatment goals and progress updates.
