Job Description
Position Summary The Physical Therapy Technician (PT Tech) supports licensed Physical Therapists in delivering high-quality patient care. This role involves assisting with patient flow, preparing treatment areas, and performing administrative and clinical support tasks in a fast-paced outpatient setting. Key Responsibilities
- Assist therapists with patient care and exercise programs under supervision
- Prepare and clean treatment areas and equipment before and after use
- Guide patients through prescribed exercises and monitor progress
- Assist patients with mobility (walking, sitting, transfers)
- Apply hot/cold packs or other basic modalities as directed
- Maintain clinic cleanliness, including laundry and stocking supplies
- Observe patient responses and report concerns to therapists
- Assist with front desk duties such as insurance verification, scanning, scheduling and patient check-in
- Ensure compliance with safety, HIPAA, and clinic policies Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Interest in healthcare, physical therapy, or fitness preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer and administrative skills Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift
- Frequent bending, reaching, and assisting patients Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a medical, fitness, or rehabilitation setting
- CPR certification preferred
- Interest in pursuing a career in physical therapy or healthcare
Pay:
$13.00 - $17.00 per hourBenefits:
