Job Description

Are you looking to gain experience in the medical field and have direct interactions with physical, occupational, and speech therapists? This is the perfect job for those looking to gain hands on experience with patients! We are hiring rehab technicians (physical therapy aide) at The Recovery Project Livonia location. This is an entry level position that will allow you to get a look inside the rehab world of treating a variety of diagnosis including spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and neuromuscular diseases. This job opportunity is great for anyone who is passionate about helping people by assisting therapists with patient care while also maintaining a safe and clean working environment for our patients. Candidate requirements include:
  • Must be 18 years or older with high school diploma
  • Must have availability between 7:45-6:15 M-Th and 7:45-4:30 F (we work with student's schedules!)
  • Must be dependable, compassionate, capable of developing strong relationships and communicating with people of all abilities and statures of life
  • CPR certification required (if not certified, we will work on this with you)
  • Must be physically able to assist with transferring patients (lifting 50+ lbs)
  • An interest in a profession in the medical field is preferred (PT, OT, SLP, MT, social work, nursing, and pre-medical students)
Pay:
$13.00 per hour-$14.00 (opportunity for more if you have a degree completed)
