Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join Evolve Therapy Services at Shakopee Friendship Manor as an as-needed, in-house PRN basis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in physiotherapy practices and demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care across diverse clinical settings. As a PTA, you will collaborate closely with licensed physical therapists to implement treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and ensure optimal recovery outcomes. This role offers an opportunity to work flexibly within a dynamic healthcare environment, supporting patients of all ages and conditions. Responsibilities Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing individualized care plans tailored to patient needs. Perform therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and trigger point therapy to facilitate recovery. Document clinical assessments, treatment sessions, and patient progress accurately in electronic health records (EHR). Operate and maintain medical equipment used during therapy sessions, ensuring safety and proper functionality. Educate patients on physiotherapy techniques, injury prevention, and discharge planning to promote ongoing wellness. Support inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing facility, home health, and acute care settings by providing consistent patient care. Adhere strictly to clinical documentation standards and medical terminology for accurate record-keeping and compliance. Skills Proficiency in physiotherapy modalities including manual therapy and trigger point therapy. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy. Experience with clinical assessment documentation and medical documentation practices. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) management systems for efficient record keeping. Ability to operate various medical equipment safely and effectively during treatment sessions. Inpatient experience in skilled nursing facilities or acute care environments is highly desirable. Knowledge of outpatient therapy protocols across geriatrics and general rehabilitation. Excellent communication skills for patient education, team collaboration, and discharge planning processes. Pay:
$30.00 - $38.00 per hour
