JOB TITLE
:
PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT- SPINE CLINIC- OUTPATIENTS ORGANIZATIONAL UNIT-DEPARTMENT
:
PHYSICAL THERAPY SPINE ACCOUNTABILITY
:
REPORTS DIRECTLY TO CLINIC MANAGER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: 1. Provides high quality, direct patient care with emphasis on spinal diagnoses 2. Ensures accurate and complete documentation of medical records in accordance with company standards 3. Assists clinic manager and clinical director in utilization review 5. Participates in protocol development/updating 6. Assists in ongoing review to ensure facility cleanliness and equipment safety
SKILL AND/OR EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program, licensed to practice Physical Therapy in the state of North Carolina and is in good standing with NC PT Board. Preferable to have experience in outpatient orthopedics in a sports medicine setting and advanced training/interest in treating spinal diagnoses, and able to work independently with patient care duties.
INTER-RELATIONSHIPS
: Needs to be able to balance their position while working alongside others from a team approach. Needs to be able to independently recognize what needs to be done and complete tasks as necessary. Needs to recognize a problem and provide options for a positive, reasonable, respectful solution.
INTERNAL
: Works directly with the clinic manager and all other personnel in the Physical Therapy department on a day-to-day basis. Also positively and effectively interacts with COSMS staff including physicians, support staff, front office staff and executive management.
EXTERNAL
Represents COSMS professionally in all respects with outside referral sources and institutions.
