Job Description

Compensation for the Physical Therapist Assistant ranges from $35-$38 per hour.

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to assist in implementing treatment plans and helping residents achieve their physical therapy goals. Your role will be vital in promoting recovery, improving functional mobility, and enhancing the overall well-being of our residents in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Physical Therapist in carrying out individualized treatment plans for residents based on their physical needs and rehabilitation goals. Implement therapeutic exercises and interventions to improve strength, mobility, and function. Provide hands-on support and guidance to residents during therapy sessions. Monitor and report on residents' progress, documenting changes and updating treatment plans as directed by the Physical Therapist. Educate residents and their families on exercise routines and safety measures to follow after therapy. Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and a holistic approach to rehabilitation. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations regarding rehabilitation therapy.
Qualifications:
Current, active North Carolina state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or geriatric care is preferred but not required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for helping others. Ability to follow treatment plans and work in a team-oriented environment. Compassionate, resident-centered approach to care.
