Category Schools - PTA Job Type Contract Discover a meaningful opportunity to support student growth as a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant in a dynamic school setting near Wilkesboro, NC. This contract assignment is structured for a part-time schedule—working two days per week (16 hours), beginning August 17th, 2026, and extending through June 4th, 2027. You'll play a vital role in helping students reach their potential through collaboration and skilled therapeutic intervention.
Preferred Qualifications:
Valid NC PTA licensure required Previous experience working in a school environment is advantageous Strong teamwork abilities for working alongside physical therapists, educators, and school staff Adaptable and organized, able to manage a varied caseload Effective communicator with students, families, and professionals
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct physical therapy services to students under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist Assist in implementing therapy plans tailored to the individual needs of students Track and document progress, maintaining accurate records according to district standards Participate in meetings with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate student care Provide input in developing therapy goals and support educational participation Uphold confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism at all times Experience personal fulfillment by making a difference while maintaining work-life balance with this consistent part-time schedule.
