Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physical Therapy Assistant, where you will play a vital role in helping patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve their overall quality of life. In this rewarding position, you will assist in implementing customized physical therapy treatments under the supervision of licensed physical therapists, ensuring each patient receives compassionate and effective care. Responsibilities Greet patients and escort patient to the prescribed treatment area Inform the provider when patients arrive Receive the day's schedule when arriving at the facility Alert the provider of any schedule changes Prepare and set up all equipment in the treatment areas prior to patient hours Ensure patients are supervised properly while completing treatment Confirm with provider that all prescribed treatment is complete Teamwork and communication with all co-workers in the facility Preparing hot packs, ice packs and ESTIM/ultrasound machines for clinician use Complete necessary laundry throughout the workday Maintain safe and clean work and treatment areas Prepare and set up of therapy/exercise equipment prior to patient use Prior experience with manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and physiotherapy modalities is preferred.
