About Toro Toro Physical Therapy & Performance Training is a community-focused physical therapy and performance facility built around helping people move better, get stronger, and stay active . We combine physical therapy with performance training to help our patients progress beyond simply feeling better and return to the activities they enjoy — whether that's lifting weights, running, competing in sports, or simply becoming stronger and more capable. The Opportunity Toro is looking for a part-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a PTA who enjoys working with an active patient population and wants to practice in an environment that emphasizes exercise-based rehabilitation, strength training, and long-term physical performance . The position offers the opportunity to work alongside our physical therapists and performance-training staff while developing your clinical skills in a collaborative, supportive environment. Position Responsibilities Provide skilled physical therapy interventions under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist Implement individualized treatment programs developed by the supervising PT Guide patients through therapeutic exercise, mobility, strengthening, and functional activities Progress patients through appropriate exercise and rehabilitation activities Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate relevant findings to the supervising PT Educate patients on exercises, movement strategies, and appropriate progression Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation Maintain a clean, organized, and professional treatment environment Collaborate with PT and performance-training staff Contribute to Toro's positive, hardworking, and community-focused culture Qualifications Certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) from an accredited program is required. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practices. Basic life support (BLS) certification and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification are essential for safety and emergency response. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) management systems and telehealth platforms is preferred. Preferred Interest or experience in strength training, sports rehabilitation, or performance Experience working with active adults or athletes Personal experience with resistance training, running, or other forms of exercise Interest in exercise-based rehabilitation Desire to continue developing clinical and strength & conditioning knowledge
Pay:
$29.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 - 30.0 per week
