About the
Role:
Sierra Home Health in Truth or Consequences is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our compassionate and collaborative home health team. As a valued member of our tight-knit staff, you'll enjoy flexible scheduling, supportive leadership, and a high level of autonomy — all while serving your local community with integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver in-home physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist Willingness to travel to Truth or Consequences one to two days a week with mileage compensation Carry out treatment plans to help patients regain mobility, function, and independence Communicate progress and changes in patient condition to the supervising therapist Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and safety practices Document visits and progress notes accurately and on time Participate in care team meetings and interdisciplinary planning Uphold infection control and safety standards during all home visits Maintain professional, compassionate rapport with patients and families
Requirements:
What We're Looking For:
Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in New Mexico Previous experience in home health preferred, but not required Strong interpersonal and communication skills Confidence working independently in the field Adaptability to changing schedules and home environments Commitment to quality, safety, and patient-centered care Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
