Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs. Perform therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy, and other modalities to promote healing and mobility. Operate and maintain medical equipment used in physical therapy treatments, ensuring safety and proper functionality. Document clinical assessments, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge plans accurately following clinical documentation standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams—including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and caregivers—to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Manage electronic health records (EHR) efficiently to ensure timely updates of patient information and compliance with medical documentation requirements. Support discharge planning processes by preparing patients for transition to home or other care settings and providing caregiver communication for ongoing care needs. Skills Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and related medical terminology essential for effective therapy delivery. Skilled in manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and other physiotherapy interventions. Experience operating medical equipment used in physical therapy treatments with attention to safety protocols.
