As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) , you'll provide skilled therapy services to patients in their homes , helping patients improve mobility, function, safety, and independence. What You'll Do Provide skilled physical therapy services in patients' homes under the direction of a Physical Therapist. Follow the Physical Therapist's plan of care and provide treatments designed to relieve pain, restore function, and improve mobility. Observe, document, and report patients' reactions, changes, and progress. Perform therapeutic exercises and physical therapy procedures as ordered. Help patients achieve their functional goals and maintain the highest level of independence possible. Educate patients and families on therapy techniques, safety, exercises, and supportive activities. Teach patients and caregivers how to safely use walkers, wheelchairs, canes, crutches, braces, and other equipment. Communicate patient progress and changes in condition with physicians, therapists, nurses, and other members of the care team. Participate in case conferences and interdisciplinary care coordination. Complete accurate and timely documentation in accordance with agency policies, Medicare guidelines, and state and federal regulations. Follow the state-defined scope of practice for licensed PTAs. Attend required meetings, in-services, and continuing education programs. This Is Field-Based Home Health This position involves traveling to patients' homes throughout your assigned territory . You'll work independently in the field while having the support of a full home health team, including scheduling and patient admissions. What We're Looking For Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of employment Minimum 1 year of PTA experience in an acute care setting Home health experience preferred Valid driver's license Valid auto insurance in your name as a driver Ability to meet the physical demands of the position Strong communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate, patient-focused approach Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions Positive attitude and ability to work effectively with patients, families, physicians, and coworkers Why Join Us?
