9683842-97222 Job Description Step into a rewarding opportunity serving students in the greater Portland area as a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant within a school-based setting. Youll be making a genuine difference by supporting student success across multiple school campuses, working alongside passionate professionals dedicated to inclusive educational environments. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will be instrumental in implementing physical therapy plans crafted by licensed Physical Therapists. Your expertise will help students access their education and participate more fully in school activities. Each day brings the variety of connecting with students and staff at multiple school sites, providing both challenges and rewards as you travel between locations.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Valid Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license required Previous experience supporting children/youth in school or pediatric settings preferred Reliable vehicle and current drivers license to travel among 30 district sites Flexibility to adjust to changing schedules and needs Collaborative mindset, strong organizational and communication skills Ability to maintain accurate records and follow instructions from supervising
PTs Key Responsibilities:
Assist in delivering prescribed physical therapy interventions under the direction of a supervising Physical Therapist Monitor and document student progress toward established goals Support students participation and mobility within the educational environment Collaborate with educational teams, attending meetings as needed Adapt to a varied caseload and provide services at multiple locations Perks include a standard workweek from 7:30am to 3:30pm (30-minute unpaid lunch), scheduled breaks for major holidays, and the chance to work with an inspiring team across diverse school communities.
