Schedule:
Approximately 32-36 hours per week About the Position Allegheny Physical Medicine is looking for a dependable, energetic, and friendly Chiropractic Assistant / Rehab Therapy Assistant to join our patient-care team. This is an active, hands-on position in a busy healthcare office. The majority of the role involves working directly with patients in our therapy and rehabilitation area rather than sitting at a desk. We are looking for someone who enjoys helping people, works well in a fast-paced environment, and is able to recognize what needs to be done and take initiative without constantly waiting for direction. Previous chiropractic, physical therapy, medical assisting, exercise science, personal training, or rehabilitation experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person. Responsibilities Assist patients throughout the therapy and rehabilitation area Set up and monitor therapeutic modalities under provider direction Assist with electrical muscle stimulation/IFC Assist with therapeutic ultrasound Guide patients through prescribed exercises and stretches Prepare treatment areas for patients Clean and sanitize tables and therapy equipment between patients Help maintain efficient patient flow during busy periods Communicate with providers and other staff regarding patient flow Maintain organized and stocked therapy areas Complete appropriate documentation and charting Assist other team members when needed Who We're Looking For Our ideal candidate is someone who: Is dependable and punctual Is friendly and comfortable interacting with patients of all ages Can stay organized while working with multiple patients Enjoys being active and on their feet throughout the workday Works with a sense of urgency when the office gets busy Takes initiative and looks for what needs to be done next Is comfortable learning new equipment and procedures Communicates well with providers and coworkers Accepts feedback and is willing to learn Takes pride in keeping their work area clean and organized Wants to become a reliable part of a team rather than simply completing assigned tasks Preferred Background Experience in any of the following is helpful but not required: Chiropractic office Physical therapy or rehabilitation Medical assisting Exercise science or kinesiology Personal training Athletic training Healthcare/patient care Training will be provided for the appropriate candidate.
