Join Our Team Senior Care of Marion is seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team in a long-term care and skilled nursing environment. The PTA will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help residents improve mobility, restore function, reduce pain, and enhance their overall quality of life. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Implement treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist. Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfer training, balance activities, and functional mobility interventions. Assist residents in improving strength, endurance, mobility, and activities of daily living. Monitor resident responses to treatment and communicate progress or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist. Accurately document treatments, progress notes, and resident outcomes in the medical record. Educate residents, families, and staff regarding mobility, safety precautions, and home exercise programs. Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, rehabilitation team members, and caregivers to achieve resident goals. Maintain compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and professional standards. Ensure a safe and supportive treatment environment.

QualificationsRequired:

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Current and unrestricted PTA license in the State of [State]. Current CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with geriatric and rehabilitative populations.

Preferred:

Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation settings. Knowledge of EMR documentation systems. Experience treating residents with orthopedic, neurological, and post-surgical conditions.
