Job Description
Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation activities.
Provide hands-on support during treatment sessions.
Monitor patient response and progress throughout treatment.
Communicate changes in patient condition or progress to supervising Physical Therapists.
Educate patients on home exercise programs and proper exercise techniques.
Assist patients with safe use of therapeutic equipment.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Follow established clinical and safety protocols.
Provide professional, compassionate, patient-centered care.
Collaborate with the clinical team to support quality treatment outcomes.
QualificationsGraduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program.
Current Tennessee PTA license or eligibility for licensure.
Strong understanding of therapeutic exercise and rehabilitation principles.
Ability to provide safe and compassionate patient care.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with Physical Therapists and other healthcare professionals.
Strong organization and time-management skills.
Ability to maintain accurate clinical documentation.
Basic computer and EMR proficiency.
Outpatient orthopedic experience is preferred but not required.
Balance/vestibular experience is a plus but not required.
New graduate PTAs are welcome to apply.
