This contract position offers the unique opportunity to work closely with a district Physical Therapist, offering direct support to students in multiple schools across a dynamic district. As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), your expertise will make a lasting impact on students' mobility and participation throughout their educational journey. In this position, youll: Deliver physical therapy services to students as directed and supervised by a licensed Physical Therapist Implement individualized treatment plans and therapy objectives to foster student progress Foster independence and functional mobility within the school environment Maintain thorough documentation of interventions, progress, and outcomes in compliance with district standards Collaborate with Physical Therapists, educators, special education teams, and additional related service providers Travel regularly between school locations within the district, meeting the evolving needs of students Contribute to IEP meetings and activities as requested Candidates should have: Current (or eligible) Tennessee licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant Reliable transportation and comfort with regular regional travel to multiple sites Effective communication, organizational, and teamwork skills Previous pediatric or school-based experience is a plus, though not required This opportunity offers a full-time, flexible schedule centered around the needs of the district and its students, making it ideal for professionals passionate about working with children in an educational setting.
