Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join the Big Heart Center for Parkinson's Wellness team in Bedford and/or FW, TX. The ideal candidate shares our belief that movement is medicine and is committed to helping patients with Parkinson's disease and related neurological conditions live life to the fullest. At Big Heart, we do therapy different. You will work alongside our Physical Therapist to deliver personalized, holistic care that addresses the whole patient — physical, cognitive, and lifestyle — empowering them to stay active, engaged, and connected to their community. Responsibilities Carry out individualized PT treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist, targeting gait, balance, fall prevention, strength, and mobility. Implement evidence-based interventions including

Moves, and Rock Steady Boxing. Incorporate cognitive training, dual-tasking, and coordination exercises into treatment sessions. Co-lead and support group Parkinson's exercise classes. Reinforce patient and caregiver education on lifestyle modification, nutrition, and long-term wellness strategies. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including OTs, OTAs, speech-language pathologists, and wellness coaches. Monitor and document patient progress in accordance with regulatory and payer requirements, reporting changes in status to the supervising PT. Skills Foundational knowledge of Parkinson's disease and related Parkinsonian syndromes. Comfort assisting with gait, balance, and fall risk activities. Familiarity with (or willingness to train in)

Moves, and Rock Steady Boxing frameworks. Ability to deliver personalized, goal-driven care beyond cookie-cutter protocols. Comfort co-leading group exercise classes in a community-oriented setting. Strong patient and caregiver communication and education skills. Commitment to holistic, lifestyle-based care. Qualifications Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant, or immediate eligibility to obtain licensure.

Moves, or Rock Steady Boxing certification a plus. Experience in neurological or geriatric rehabilitation preferred, but not required — we're happy to train the right person.
