This energetic position offers the opportunity to work closely with licensed physical therapists, assisting in implementing treatment plans that improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance overall quality of life for diverse patient populations. Whether in outpatient clinics, inpatient settings, or home health environments, you will contribute to meaningful recovery journeys and foster positive patient outcomes. Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to patient needs across various settings such as outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home health. Prepare and operate medical equipment used during therapy sessions, ensuring safety and proper functionality. Perform manual therapy techniques including trigger point therapy and other hands-on interventions to alleviate pain and improve tissue flexibility. Document clinical assessments, treatment progress, and discharge planning accurately in electronic health records (EHR) following clinical documentation standards. Communicate effectively with patients and caregivers to explain procedures, address concerns, and motivate ongoing participation in therapy programs. Collaborate with healthcare professionals including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists to optimize patient care strategies. Support discharge planning by providing detailed updates on patient progress and recommending follow-up care or home exercises. Skills Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practices. Proficiency in clinical assessment documentation and medical documentation standards to ensure accurate record keeping. Experience with orthopedic, geriatrics, pediatrics, inpatient care, outpatient therapy, and skilled nursing facility environments is highly desirable. Skilled in the operation of medical equipment used for manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and physiotherapy tools. Excellent caregiver and client communication skills to foster trust and motivate patients throughout their recovery process. Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams while managing multiple priorities in fast-paced settings like acute care or outpatient clinics.
