Responsibilities Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing personalized care plans for geriatric patients. Implement physical therapy treatments such as manual therapy, trigger point therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to facilitate recovery. Conduct clinical assessments and document progress accurately in accordance with clinical documentation standards and medical terminology. Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during treatment sessions while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain comprehensive electronic health records (EHR) management, ensuring timely and precise medical documentation and compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate proactively with healthcare professionals—including physicians, nurses, and caregivers—to optimize patient outcomes and discharge planning. Communicate clearly with clients and their families to explain treatment procedures, progress, and home exercise programs to foster understanding and engagement. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) along with the NPTE Exam and 2 year Associates Degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant is required. Demonstrated experience in outpatient clinics, inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, or home health environments. Proficiency in physiotherapy techniques such as manual therapy, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and acute care practices. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and clinical assessment documentation standards. Skilled in operating medical equipment used in physical therapy treatments safely and effectively. Experience managing electronic health records (EHR) systems with attention to detail for accurate medical documentation. Excellent communication skills for effective caregiver and client interactions; ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
