Our office serves a diverse range of patients; active care, wellness care, pre and postnatal, athletes of all ages and pediatric patients, veterans and geriatric patients. We treat patients through a holistic approach to health. We are looking for an individual who can step into a busy office with a well-established patient base who can be trained to tackle any roll that is needed (this includes but is not limited to scheduling, patient communication, insurance verification and active care with patients in multiple capacities). Candidates who have strong experience with social media content for businesses and marketing are well qualified. There will be a strong emphasis for consideration for individuals who have previous education and/or work experience in anatomy and physiology. We expect professionalism and a commitment to maintaining high standards. This is important. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, check them in efficiently, and manage appointment scheduling using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth. Verify insurance coverage, explain treatment plans, and collect payments or co-pays accurately while adhering to HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies. Maintain and update patient records with precision, including documentation review, and billing details for medical procedures and care plans. Handle incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information about clinic services and scheduling appointments while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. Manage medical records filing, electronic health records (EHR) management, and ensure all documentation complies with health information management standards. Support clinical staff by preparing treatment rooms, assisting with patient flow, and performing clerical duties such as data entry using Microsoft Office and 10-key typing skills. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient clinic operations and deliver outstanding patient service at all times. Experience Prior clinic experience or medical office experience is highly preferred; familiarity with EMR/EHR systems is a plus. Demonstrated ability to handle medical billing and collections confidently while maintaining accuracy in documentation review. Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and electronic health records management tools. Proven customer service skills combined with clerical experience in a healthcare setting will help you excel as a front desk representative. Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment is critical.
