Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care through skilled physical therapy interventions. Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing personalized treatment plans for patients in skilled nursing facilities. Perform therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy, and other modalities to support patient recovery. Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions, ensuring proper use and maintenance. Document clinical assessments, treatment progress, and discharge planning accurately following clinical documentation standards. Collaborate with healthcare professionals—including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists—to coordinate comprehensive care plans. Communicate clearly with patients and caregivers to explain procedures, address concerns, and motivate ongoing participation in therapy programs. Manage electronic health records (EHR) efficiently to ensure accurate medical documentation and compliance with healthcare regulations. Experience Prior experience working in physical therapy settings such as inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, or home health environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of physiology, anatomy, orthopedics, geriatrics, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practice. Hands-on experience with clinical assessment documentation and implementing physical therapy treatments including manual therapy techniques like trigger point therapy. Familiarity with medical equipment operation used in physiotherapy sessions and electronic health records (EHR) management systems. Experience working with geriatrics and those requiring discharge planning or skilled nursing care is advantageous. Strong communication skills for effective caregiver and client interaction to ensure understanding of care plans and progress updates. Pay:
$28.00 - $38.00 per hour
