Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Pelvic Health RGV Pelvic Health Physical Therapy | McAllen, TX About Us RGV Pelvic Health Physical Therapy is a private, one-on-one specialty practice dedicated exclusively to pelvic health. We help women, men, and occasionally children overcome pelvic floor dysfunction through evidence-based, compassionate care in a private treatment setting. Our clinic is built on quality rather than quantity. We intentionally schedule one-on-one treatment sessions so every patient receives the time, attention, and individualized care they deserve. This is not a high-volume clinic—we believe exceptional care begins with meaningful patient relationships. Few PTAs have the opportunity to receive direct mentorship in pelvic health from a board-certified specialist. This position provides hands-on training in a highly specialized private practice and the opportunity to work alongside the region's only Board-Certified Women's Health Clinical Specialist (WCS). Because we serve a diverse community, approximately one-third of our patients are Spanish-speaking. The right attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn are far more important. Responsibilities Carry out treatment plans developed by the supervising physical therapist. Provide individualized therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, manual techniques within the PTA scope of practice, and patient education. Assist patients with pelvic floor dysfunction, including urinary and bowel conditions, pelvic pain, pregnancy and postpartum recovery, and post-operative rehabilitation. Monitor patient progress and communicate findings to the supervising physical therapist. Reinforce home exercise programs and lifestyle strategies to help patients achieve long-term success. Maintain accurate and timely documentation. Collaborate closely with the supervising physical therapist to provide exceptional patient-centered care. Help foster a warm, welcoming, and professional clinic environment. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Current Texas PTA license (or eligibility for licensure). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Professional, compassionate, and motivated to learn. Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the supervising therapist. Interest in continuing education and clinical excellence.
