$35-$42 hour Port Arthur Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant and a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join a therapy team that plays an important role in supporting patient mobility, recovery, and overall function. In the skilled nursing setting, your work directly influences a patient's ability to move safely, regain independence, and maintain quality of life. This role offers the opportunity to stay consistently involved in patient progress, from initial recovery through ongoing support.
Where you make an impact:
Supporting short-term rehabilitation patients in regaining strength and mobility to safely return home Assisting long-term residents in maintaining function and preventing further decline Promoting safe mobility, transfers, and fall prevention across the patient population Contributing to a consistent therapy presence that patients rely on throughout their stay What your day looks like: Providing hands-on treatment focused on gait training, balance, strengthening, and functional mobility Working with patients over time and contributing to measurable progress Collaborating with the Physical Therapist to adjust treatment approaches based on patient response Maintaining timely and accurate documentation What matters in this role: A strong understanding of the role mobility plays in patient safety and independence Accountability for patient care and progress Reliability and consistency as part of the therapy team
Qualifications:
Active Texas PTA license/ Texas COTA license Skilled nursing or post-acute experience preferred Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment Apply today and join our growing therapy department!
