Physical Therapist Assistant
Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at Built 4 It, a multi-location athletic training and sports medicine facility serving Southlake and Prosper, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in patient care, therapeutic exercise, and hands-on treatment techniques, with a passion for working with athletic populations. This role involves working with patients across both the general active population and youth/competitive athlete settings, delivering care under the direction of our Physical Therapist in an integrated environment where performance training and medical care operate under one roof. The Physical Therapist Assistant will collaborate with our PT and performance staff to provide comprehensive treatment for patients of all ages. Duties Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and functional activities based on their plan of care Provide hands-on care, including manual therapy techniques and modalities as directed Provide education to patients and their families regarding home exercise programs, injury prevention, and recovery strategies Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising PT to ensure optimal outcomes Maintain accurate documentation of treatment sessions and progress notes in accordance with medical terminology standards Support return-to-play progressions in collaboration with performance coaches and multidisciplinary staff Stay updated on the latest advancements in physical therapy practices and contribute to ongoing professional development Help maintain an organized, energetic, athlete-first treatment environment Qualifications Valid Texas state license (or license eligibility) to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant Graduate of an accredited PTA program Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to physical therapy practices Experience or strong interest in sports rehab; experience with youth athletes a plus Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with athletes, parents, coaches, and other sports medicine disciplines Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment CPR/AED certified, or willing to obtain prior to start Commitment to providing high-quality patient care while adhering to ethical standards in the field of physical therapy This role offers a rewarding career path for dedicated professionals eager to make a meaningful difference through skilled patient care while advancing their expertise in physical therapy practices.
