Physical Therapy Assistant (Full-Time) Premier Rehab & Healthcare at Burlington has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team in Burlington, Vermont . We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to provide high-quality, person-centered rehabilitation services to our residents and patients under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You will work as part of an experienced clinical team to help patients improve mobility, strength, function, independence, and quality of life.

Pay:

$32-$38 per hour Physical Therapy Assistant Responsibilities Provide skilled physical therapy treatments and interventions under the supervision and direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. Implement individualized physical therapy plans of care based on patient needs, physician orders, and established treatment goals. Provide therapeutic exercises and activities designed to improve strength, balance, mobility, endurance, coordination, and functional independence. Assist patients with functional mobility, transfers, gait training, and other therapeutic activities as appropriate. Monitor and document patient responses to treatment and communicate progress or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist. Measure and document patient progress related to mobility, strength, motor function, balance, and physical performance. Educate patients, residents, families, and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, mobility strategies, safety, and techniques to promote independence. Collaborate with Physical Therapists, nursing staff, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to support coordinated patient care. Communicate changes in patient condition or functional status to the supervising Physical Therapist and appropriate healthcare team members. Complete accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies and applicable state and federal regulations. Attend required meetings and participate in other duties as assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation. Physical Therapy Assistant Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Current and valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in Vermont. Must be in good standing with applicable licensing and regulatory agencies. Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or long-term care setting preferred. Strong knowledge of physical therapy treatment techniques and rehabilitation interventions. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with residents and patients with a variety of needs and abilities. Ability to collaborate effectively with Physical Therapists and other members of the interdisciplinary team. Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
