Job Description

Physical Therapist Assistant Job Duties:
Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, carries out all therapeutic modalities or treatment programs planned by the Therapist. Identifies and communicates treatment programs planned by the Therapist. Identifies and communicates treatment responses and/or difficulties to the Therapist. Progresses and alters the treatment programs as education directs. Follows treatment plan as outlined by licensed Physical Therapist. Transfers patients as needed for therapy. Performs patient/ family teaching. Communicates with Physical Therapist in patient treatment planning. Provides documentation of patient treatment. Administers medications in a timely manner, safely and in accordance with policy and procedure.
Physical Therapist Assistant Minimum Requirements:
Associate Degree in: Physical Therapy Assistant Valid driver's license to operate a motor vehicle in the State of Wisconsin and/or Illinois based on job assignment location. Current BLS and/or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire. Valid licensure to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the State of Wisconsin Ability to read, write, hear, speak and comprehend the English language.
Salary Range:
$26.25 to $39.50/hr (based on experience) Additional $0.50 per hour differential for inpatient setting
