AFOC has locations in Midtown Anchorage, South Anchorage, Eagle River, Palmer, and Wasilla. This opening is based at our main clinic on Lake Otis Parkway in Midtown Anchorage and includes coverage in our Orthopedic Walk-In Clinic. Position Overview AFOC has an exciting opportunity for a Physician Assistant to cover our Orthopedic Walk-In Clinic. This position is primarily based at our Lake Otis clinic and provides care for patients presenting with acute orthopedic injuries and musculoskeletal conditions. Our Orthopedic Walk-In Clinic is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM , providing convenient access to specialized orthopedic care without the need for an appointment. The Physician Assistant will evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide variety of orthopedic conditions while collaborating closely with our orthopedic surgeons and clinical staff. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated PA seeking to practice orthopedic medicine in a fast-paced outpatient setting while enjoying a predictable weekday schedule. Why Join AFOC? Practice in a dedicated orthopedic walk-in clinic environment Monday-Friday schedule, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM Opportunity to build and expand orthopedic medicine experience Collaborative team of orthopedic surgeons, physician assistants, and support staff Statewide reputation for high-quality orthopedic care Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package Key Responsibilities Evaluate and treat patients presenting with acute orthopedic injuries and musculoskeletal conditions Perform comprehensive orthopedic assessments and develop treatment plans Order and interpret diagnostic imaging and other studies as appropriate Apply splints, braces, casts, and other orthopedic treatments Provide patient education regarding injuries, treatment plans, and recovery expectations Coordinate referrals and follow-up care with orthopedic specialists as needed Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure excellent patient outcomes Qualifications Alaska licensure required Board-certified Physician Assistant preferred Orthopedic, urgent care, emergency medicine, sports medicine, or surgical experience preferred New graduates with strong orthopedic interest are encouraged to apply Skills & Abilities Comfortable making independent clinical decisions within scope of practice Strong patient assessment and diagnostic skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment Highly organized with excellent time-management skills Dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care Effective communication and collaboration with physicians, staff, and patients Compensation & Benefits Competitive Salary - Negotiable (DOE) 401(k)
