A Physician Assistant provides medical care to patients, under the supervision of a physician or surgeon. Works in all areas and specialties of medicine, and is licensed to practice medicine but has less formal certification than a physician. Performs duties delegated by a physician such as recording patient medical histories, ordering diagnostic tests, or giving immunizations. May serve as the primary healthcare provider, in consultation with a part-time physician, in communities with limited health care resources.

$175,200 - $264,800/yearTravel:
Up to 50% Key Responsibilities Evaluate patients, take medical histories, and perform physical examinations. Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, ECGs, and other diagnostic studies. Diagnose and treat patients and develop appropriate care plans. Perform procedures such as suturing, wound care, injections, and other department-specific procedures. Document patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress in the medical record. Provide patient and family education regarding treatment and follow-up care. Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges when required. Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Participate in quality improvement and clinical initiatives. Mentor and support less experienced Physician Assistants. Work evenings, weekends, or other schedules based on department needs. Required Qualifications- 3+ years of experience as a Physician Assistant within the last 5 years.
- Extensive experience in Emergency Department and/or Urgent Care.
- Graduate of an
- ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Active California Physician Assistant license required at hire.
- Physician Assistant National Certification (NCCPA) required.
- National Provider Identifier (NPI) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong clinical, communication, and patient-care skills.
