In this vital role, you will deliver comprehensive patient care across diverse settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, and specialized care environments. Responsibilities Conduct detailed patient assessments, including physical examinations and vital signs, to establish accurate diagnoses and treatment strategies. Manage acute and chronic conditions across various specialties such as geriatrics, pediatrics, internal medicine, emergency medicine, and behavioral health. Administer medications and injections, including IV infusions and botulinum toxin treatments, ensuring proper technique and patient safety. Perform procedures such as suturing, catheterization, spinal taps, phlebotomy, and sterile processing with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for documentation, order entry, and clinical data management. Coordinate patient care through case management practices including discharge planning, utilization review, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays. Support telehealth initiatives by providing remote consultations while maintaining HIPAA compliance and high-quality patient interactions. Skills Extensive experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Athenahealth, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for efficient documentation and communication. Proficiency in performing clinical procedures like suturing, IV insertion, catheter care, tube feeding management, and sonography. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology principles, CPT coding for billing purposes, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), and utilization management standards. Skilled in managing complex cases involving acute pain management, infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, and trauma center protocols. Experience working in diverse environments such as hospitals (including Level I & II trauma centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, outpatient clinics, urgent care centers or specialty practices like gastroenterology or ophthalmology. Ability to handle triage situations efficiently in emergency room or urgent care settings; adept at airway management and ventilator support when necessary. Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law along with familiarity with medical imaging techniques like sonography or laboratory specimen processing. Capable of delivering esthetic laser treatments or dermal fillers as part of cosmetic procedures; experienced in infection control practices and sterile technique protocols. Excellent patient care skills with a focus on behavioral health support for patients with dementia or Alzheimer's; experienced in working with children and elderly populations across memory care or neonatal units.
