Job Description Providence Saint John's Health Center is seeking a full-time cardiac surgery physician assistant to provide comprehensive care to cardiac surgery patients across the inpatient, operative, and outpatient settings. Working in collaboration with attending cardiac surgeons, this role supports perioperative management, assists in the operating room, and ensures continuity of care through clinic follow-up and multidisciplinary coordination. Provide daily management of cardiac surgery patients in ICU, step-down, and telemetry units Serve as first or second assistant in cardiac surgical procedures Perform endoscopic and/or open radial artery and saphenous vein harvesting Assist with sternotomy, cannulation, closure, and other intraoperative tasks as delegated Provide pre-operative evaluations, including history, physical exams, and surgical clearance in clinic Conduct post-operative follow-up visits and ongoing management in clinic Requires a minimum of 1 year of OR experience as first assist cardiac surgery PA, outpatient and inpatient experience, including experienced in endoscopic vein and radial artery harvest Full-time role, Monday - Friday, 8hr days Nights and weekend call coverage Local California licensed provider highly preferred Compensation between $197,716 and $263,246 annually The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and may include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, hospital/ED call stipends, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits offered by their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to variation due to the factors noted above.
